Here’s a quick sketch for this week’s Illustration Friday. It’s actually part of a project I’m working on, but I thought it fit this week’s theme well enough. UPDATE: Here’s the finished piece:
I had couple of tight deadlines this week, so here’s a little something I did awhile back for an article on air pollution.
This one reminds me a little bit of Charles Addams. Got the drawing finished, but will need to post an update when the rest is complete. Any feedback is welcome! UPDATE: Here’s the final piece in its full-color glory.
My concept for this week’s challenge is the propagation of peace. The style is based on traditional Buddhist paintings and on the Indian folk art of B.G. Sharma. The figure is based on a Balinese meditation teacher named Ratu Bagus, who I have had the pleasure of meeting on several different occasions.
