Illustration Friday: Toy

Illustration Friday: Toy

April 1, 2011 Posted by Scott DuBar Children's Illustration, Illustration

UPDATE: Here’s the final piece in glorious, living color! Below is the pencil version.

Basically the idea for this is how kids can turn just about anything into a toy and be totally happy. I know I wasn’t the only one who ever got some big new toy for Christmas or a birthday, played with it for ten minutes, then went off and played in the box it came in for hours.

I really like how this came out, so will try to finish it and post an update soon. Any feedback is welcome!
