This illustration of an alphabet garden was a proposal I did for a Blue Manatee Press book called The Reading Room. While they ended up not using it, a friend of mine liked it so much, she bought a print for her 1-year-old daughter. She was also nice enough to send me some photos, and I was happy to see that her daughter seems to be enjoying the print very much!
This was for an article on an avid skier’s yearly ritual of getting ready for ski season.

This week’s Illustration Friday submission comes from a children’s book I recently illustrated called Short Pump Bump.
Illustration proposal I did for Mike’s HARDER for a limited edition drink called Passion Fruit. I really like how this one came out but for some reason, they decided to go in another direction. Happily, the good folks at Mike’s did use my work for another drink of theirs called Tiger’s Blood, which you can check out here if you like.
Here’s a little something I did initially for the 21 Day Drawing Challenge by Von Glitschka (Day 6: Get Cubistic). I recently picked up the Megapack set of Photoshop brushes from the awesome Kyle T. Webster, and thought this illustration would be a great opportunity for me to play around with them.
Did this spot illustration for Ascent Backcountry Snow Journal just before going on vacation, and realized I forgot to post it. This was for an article on a ski-lover’s knack for going out of town to do some other outdoor activity (biking, kayaking, etc.) and missing out on fresh snowfall on his hometown mountains where he loves to ski.
Had the privilege of doing the cover illustration for a children’s storytelling CD called Tales From Cultures Far And Near. As the title suggests, the CD features traditional stories from various cultures around the world. The story I picked to illustrate was from Japan, called Two Monks, so I made my first-ever attempt at emulating the style of Japanese woodprints. It’s been awhile since I did anything for Illustration Friday, but I’ve been wanting to get back into it.
