Balinese Ganesha Temple

Balinese Ganesha Temple

Balinese Ganesha Temple

Balinese Ganesha Temple sketch

This illustration is based off a sketch I did while I was visiting Bali, Indonesia on a meditation retreat. They had an amazing Balinese Ganesha temple featuring a huge brass statue of Ganesha, some awesome dragon lamps (which I don’t think I was able to show off very well here), and wooden cobra sculpture carved from a gnarly tree root. I did the final piece with a Pentel brush pen and added the color in Photoshop.

great job of coloring in your original drawing. The shading definitely makes the piece pop, and gives it a mystical quality that is very fitting. The shadows provide good contrast and focus on the altar without making the whole thing seem ‘spooky’. good vision and execution. you should sell some prints
